Joyce Brennan has written an engaging, interesting, totally fulfilling novel that keeps you turning the pages to see what has transpired with the people in Rexford.
You immediately fall in love with the main characters, Olivia and Mitch. Their story is electric and captivating from the first moment the two meet. You will cheer them along hoping they can work through the problems and surprises that present themselves throughout the story.
The author introduces you to various characters from Rexford and the surrounding small towns. They all become important parts and people in the story and make the small town come alive with personalities. While the main focus of the novel is the romance between Olivia and Mitch, the author skillfully shows all the happenings and intrigue of small town drama.
This is definitely a keeper that will stay on my book shelf as one of the best I have read in quite some time. Congratulations Ms. Brennan.
