I May Frustrate You, But I'm A Keeper

Author Ray W. Lincoln has written an invaluable resource for parents in understanding their own temperaments, thereby being able to understand their children.
"I'm a Keeper" provides the keys to opening lines of communication so the day-to-day problems between parent and child becomes minimal. Finding out which personality you and your child is enables you to recognize how to parent your child in the most positive manner.
You will discover how and why your children feel, think, and act the way they do, and how they see you. You will also learn what motivates both you and your child.
I have a young grandchild in my life and I'm definitely giving my son and his wife a copy.
"I'm a Keeper" is a book that should be on every parents list and in every educators library. Mr. Lincoln has done a superb job. I highly recommend this book for anyone who works with children. It will enlighten your life!

Beth's Fella

This is a delightful, charming memoir that Frances D. Strong has written. Beth’s Fells is a beautiful coming-of-age story that follows the life of a girl and her best friend, a beautiful horse. It details how the girl dealt with her life as her sight began to fade more and more as she reached adulthood and had a family.

This book is written in an easy-to-read style that lets you feel like you intimately know the family. The characters are well developed and pull you right into the action of the story. You come to love these people and cheer Beth on as she meets every challenge with strength and spirit. The illustrations by Kay Payne help to move the story along as you vision the different happenings in Beth’s life.

Beth’s Fella is a book young people will enjoy reading. It teaches about horses and those that love them. It also helps children learn how to deal with disabilities. Thank you, Ms. Strong for sharing your story with us. This book will be on many shelves as a keeper for a long time

Blue Eagle Meets Double Trouble - Review

Blue Eagle Meets Double Trouble
By
Steven E. Jones

Steven E. Jones introduces young children to light suspense in this second addition to his popular Blue Eagle series.
Blue Eagle leaves Peaceful Valley for the day and the animals encounter two wolves who try to eat them. The small community of characters come together to defeat the hungry wolves. Blue Eagle comes back and takes the wolves away from his friends.
A fun to read book that teaches children the values of teamwork, determination, pride in oneself and that we are all unique and should be proud of our accomplishments.
The beautiful, vivid, water color illustrations guide you through this tale and bring the animals in Peaceful Valley to life. Steven E. Jones Jr. is a very talented illustrator who has captured the essence of the characters whose lives we are allowed to share.
The Blue Eagle books will have long life on the shelves in children’s libraries teaching them moral values for our time. This is a book that parents will also love to read with their children. Another great, must have book.

The Ballad of Blue Eagle - Book Review

The Ballad of Blue Eagle is a charming book that tells the story of a blue eagle that protects the animal friends in the Peaceful Valley. It is a rhyming book that pulls the reader into the story that can teach children the fun of learning how to rhyme words and tell a story.

The book is beautifully illustrated throughout and allows the reader to see the animal friends and become involved in the story. It shows community, friendship and how to work together to help each other when danger is near.

The Ballad of Blue Eagle is a winner of the prestigious Mom's Choice Award from the 'Just For Mom's Foundation.' This is a story that was passed from a father to a son. Then his son, in turn, illustrated the tale.

Steven E. Jones has graciously shared a favorite family story with children that will be a keeper on many shelves to be read often.

GRANDLOVING - Book Review

GRANDLOVING "Making Memories with Your Grandchildren" by Sue Johnson & Julie Carlson

"Grandloving" is a delightful, informative book packed full of activities to share with your grandchildren regardless of their age or if you live 'a world away'... or next door. The activities are arranged by themes and 'do together' projects or those that are 'sent to' the grandchild.

This book touches on how families can work together creating new relationships as the children become new parents and the parents move into their next role of grandparents.

More than an activity guide, Grandloving is a beautifully written book full of common sense suggestions that touch upon how everyone can work through everyday interaction, to how special events and holidays can be celebrated that bring families closer for the happiness of the child.

As a first time grandparent, I am thrilled with this book and look forward to sharing many good times and activities with our new grandchild. This is a must read for anyone involved with children and their happiness.

Mulch The Lawnmower - Book Review

Scott Nelson has written a delightful story that introduces young readers to a world of two lawnmowers: Mulch the small, yellow, push mower and Rider, the big, red, riding mower.

The pictures are vibrant colors that capture your attention as you read through the two mowers experiences.

It is a story of friendship, courage, and believing in yourself, as well as being able to dream about and reach your goals. The story allows the reader to see that no matter what task they are assigned, it's okay to be scared as long as they try.

Young readers will be charmed with Mulch and Rider's story. It is a great tale that will become a favorite for many who will return to its pages often.

This is a perfect story for today's children. My compliments go to Mr. Nelson
